Yes, experienced users have Sage intelligence! However, it is also the name of a reporting solution module that greatly enhances your Sage 100 software.

As you know, Microsoft officially stopped supporting the FRx reporting tool the end of 2012. Sage has a business reporting tool, Sage Intelligence, that allows you to quickly and easily obtain the information required for improved operations and reporting across your entire business. All owners of Sage 100 with an active Business Care plan have one Sage Intelligence Report Manager license included (each person needing to create, modify and run reports needs a Report Manager license). Report Manager is a standard “intelligent” module that allows the user to generate new reports, set security/permissions and filter data from Sage 100. An overview can be viewed at

An additional component available, Sage Intelligence Designer, allows the user to create and edit Excel-based financials reports from Sage 100 quickly and easily using simple drag-and-drop functionality.  Functions include dragging in data lists, formulas or reporting trees on the right hand side of the Excel window. Those on Gold Business Care currently receive Designer with maintenance at no charge upon renewal (one needed per company not per person). Contact Chortek to activate if interested.

For employees who want to view reports created in Report Manager or Designer but don’t need to create or modify them, Report Viewer licenses can be purchased.

Sage Intelligence also offers a Connector component to connect Sage 100 and other sources (such as MS Access, Sage CRM, another ERP) and allows multi-company consolidations.  (One Connector is needed for each source that you want to consolidate.)
