Windows Server 2003 support is ending July 14, 2015
What does “end of support” mean for you? After July 14th, Microsoft will no longer issue security updates for any version of Windows Server 2003.
No new software will be written for Server 2003 but more importantly, Microsoft will no longer be providing security patches. Per the US Department of Homeland Security alert:
- Computer systems running unsupported software are exposed to an elevated risk to cybersecurity dangers, such as malicious attacks or electronic data loss.
- Users may also encounter problems with software and hardware compatibility since new software applications and hardware devices may not be built for Windows Server 2003.
- Organizations that are governed by regulatory obligations may find they are no longer able to satisfy compliance requirements while running Windows Server 2003.

If you are still running Windows Server 2003 in your company, plan on upgrading your server operating system prior to this deadline to avoid any Sage support and system issues that may arise.
